Full Time Support Worker
United Response is a national voluntary organisation providing a range of services for people with learning disabilities, mental health needs or physical disabilities. Working throughout England and Wales, we support more than 2000 people at any one time and as we are a non-for-profit organisation it means that our money is put back into giving each person we support the best life possible.
Successful applicants will work as part of their committed Team, providing support in accordance with each person’s centred approach, promoting individual choice, decision making, control and independence through the development of active support, community links and relationships.
You will provide support in supporting people to build on existing skills and to gain new skills.
Applicants must be reliable, calm and patient with a good sense of humour and energy for life, you will be expected to travel between locations with a flexible approach to the job role. Working patterns will include days, evenings and weekends as and where required.
NVQ 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care would be desirable however is not essential as support will be given to employees to work towards a relevant qualification in Health and Social Care.
