Who we are

United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. We believe in championing the right of disabled people to live, work, socialise and participate in the community, free of discrimination and unnecessary boundaries.

Making it happen- Your Role

We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced and active support staff to work with an active young man with autism living in his own home. The gentleman we support is very active, and likes to go for long walks. You will need experience of working with people with autism who have complex needs. Having a full clean UK driving licence would be an advantage.

You will work as part of a team on a rota basis, and must be able to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.

The post is full time at 37.5 hours per week, as part of a rota.

On a daily basis, you may be involved in supporting people with the following activities:

  • Cooking
  • Cleaning
  • Washing
  • Managing finances
  • Personal care
  • Attending Drs/ hospital appointments
  • Shopping and socialising
