This role is fully funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund as you are directly involved in the Working Together, Atlantic & Moor project, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, which is part of the national Building Better Opportunities programme.

Hours 30 hours per week (negotiable) £17000 - £21000 (pro-rata) dependent upon experience.

Fixed term contract until October 2019.

United Response is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Making it happen - your Role

We are looking to recruit a Job Coach at Cornwall Supported Employment service working specifically on the Building Better Opportunities Project. As a Job Coach you will be required to support people with learning and/or physical disabilities and those on the autistic spectrum into paid employment and/or voluntary positions and work experience.

You will be flexible and creative in supporting individuals to access employment and be able to identify and overcome barriers to employment that the people we support face.

What we need from you

To be a great Job Coach, you need to have a keen interest in making a difference and engaging with people. You should also have experience in delivering information, advice and guidance and/or training on a 1:1 or group basis. If you are patient, empathetic, are well organised and an excellent communicator then we would like to hear from you. You will also need good IT, administration and self-management skills and a flexible approach. You will also have the ability to market individuals or services, have an understanding of the supported employment process and basic knowledge of social enterprises. We offer both formal and on the job training, and our national specialists are on hand to provide expert advice and support in best practice, inclusion, quality and health and safety, providing exceptional support and making a difference to people’s lives. You will be fully inducted working alongside experienced colleagues.
