Making it happen- Your Role
You will be joining a team which supports people with serious physical and mental health disabilities, predominantly within their own homes. Our aim is to give the people you will be supporting as much control over their own lives as possible.
This is a responsible Role which is really varied, can be challenging and is extremely rewarding. the job is all about giving people encouragement, guidance and support so they can live as independently as possible and have the freedom to make their own choices.
On a daily basis, you may be involved in supporting people with the following activities:
- Managing finances
- Personal care
- Attending Drs/ hospital appointments
- Shopping and socialising
And many more.

Brief overview of service / service users
Currently two men, both were provided with 11 support, both men have a full week activity plan. Both men have epilepsy. Both men require support in respect to personal care.
Specific skills / experience required for the role
It’s desirable that candidates have experience in autism and epilepsy, also learning disability. But would consider candidates without experience but with their willing to learn and develop.
The service provides 24-hour support, including sleeping duties, weekends and bank holidays. Duties also include medication administration and dealing with finance.
Although a car driver is desirable but not essential, a manual licence is required.
