Who we are
Support workers to work within our Health and Wellbeing Outreach service in Selby. You will be expected to support people in the community accessing activities such as health appointments, training, shopping, sports, activity groups and travel.
We are looking for people who have support experience where possible and who can demonstrate excellent values. It is vital that the successful candidate will be able to quickly fit into the team. We are looking for people who are passionate about helping others to reach their full independent potential so those new to care will be fully supported. You need compassion, integrity and to treat people with dignity and respect. You need to be reliable because people are depending on you, to also work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends as needed. You also need to be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and have basic IT and numerical skills. Due to the rural location we ask that potential applicants have a full UK driving licence, have access to their own vehicle with valid business insurances. You will be using your own vehicle to support young people and adults to access various activates in and around their local community. All mileage will be reimbursed by United Response.
