Job Employee Relations Manager

Location: RemoteHours: 35 hours per weekSalary: £45,000 to £55,00 (depending on experience)

Contract: 12 months fixed term

Key Purpose of the Role

The Employee Relations Manager (ERM) is a strategic partner responsible for a team of ER Advisors and working alongside Operations Managers, People Business Partners and the wider People Team providing front line ER advice and counsel, giving recommendations and support to facilitate, plan and execute solutions that address employee relations issues.

The ERM uses knowledge of applicable local employment laws and practices to design and implement employee relations policies and procedures to ensure fair and equitable employment practices.

Essential Criteria

To thrive in this role, you must have:

  • Be able to lead on strategy development to ensure a robust, consistent and effective approach to Employee Relations within United Response. This includes using your knowledge of employment law, policy and procedure and ACAS guidelines to deliver effective, commercial solutions. You will therefore have experience forming trusted relationships with ACAS and Employment Lawyers.
  • Experience developing new Employee Relations programmes, evaluating solutions, and identifying lessons learnt to make recommendations.
  • Experience coaching and leading a team including performance and development.
  • Data minded, and able to identify trends to deliver targeted planning.
