Delivery of the programme can be across Totnes/, Devon and Torbay. Delivery of the programme is through a mix of education and work-related activity both 1:1 and group work.
Making it Happen – Your role
The role of the Job Coach Mentor is to support young people in realising their aspirations to participate in work related activities, and facilitate individuals’ progression into paid work, through volunteering, education and training, work experience and other routes.
The mentor will work flexibly across all key stages, work with individuals on 1:1 basis or very small groups under the direction of the Service Manager.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with confidence and initiative who is comfortable working on a one-to-one basis and sometimes without direct supervision.
Working with challenging young people and helping them develop will be key so you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You will follow a bespoke timetable and will build positive relationships with the young person to promote interaction and a constructive learning environment.
The successful applicant will join a dynamic, enthusiastic team, totally committed to supporting some of the most vulnerable young people.
The benefits
In return for your passion and commitment, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
