Make a Real Difference in Exeter – Become a Support Worker!
Are you a compassionate and inspiring individual who can bring empathy, care, and support to those who need it most? If so, we want to hear from you!
Why You Should Join Us:
At United Response, we’re looking for passionate, energetic, and skilled Support Workers who are committed to empowering individuals to live independently and achieve their goals. If you have the enthusiasm to support people in their homes and communities, we want you on our team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Passionate and Energetic: You bring the enthusiasm and dedication needed to support individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and healthcare needs.
- Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside others to make a meaningful impact.
- Experienced: You have experience supporting adults with autism and learning disabilities, and you’re committed to recognizing and helping them achieve their aspirations.
- Opportunity Seeker: You’re someone who sees and seizes the opportunities that everyday life presents, turning them into moments of growth and joy.
Your Role:
As a Support Worker, you’ll provide encouragement, guidance, and support to help individuals live as independently as possible. While personal care and manual handling are part of the role, the focus is on building strong, one-to-one relationships and enjoying time together. You’ll empower individuals to make their own choices and live life to the fullest.
Perks and Benefits:
We believe in taking care of our team members just as much as they care for others. Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Holiday Discounts: 20 days of paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays, pro-rata for part-time), increasing after 3 and 5 years of service – perfect for those well-deserved breaks!
- Shopping Discounts: Access to vouchers, discount cards, and money-saving offers for your favorite shops.
- Gym Membership Offers: For the fitness enthusiasts, we’ve got you covered.
- Development Opportunities: Whether you’re into personal or professional growth, we provide plenty of chances to learn and advance your career.
You’ll also be using our digital app, Nourish, to manage care and support plans. Experience with digital tools is a plus, but don’t worry – we’ll provide full training.
Flexibility & Additional Information:
This role includes weekend and bank holiday work, so flexibility is essential. Successful applicants will undergo a full DBS check.
